Live agents are able to see what you see within online and mobile banking to help you navigate and use its many helpful features.

What is the Banner Virtual Assistant?

The Banner Virtual Assistant uses artificial intelligence combined with a repository of hundreds of questions and answers compiled by Banner employees to help you with frequently asked questions and requests. It can interpret your requests and apply the correct answer or retrieve the correct data from your account.

Is my information secure when I use Chat? 

Yes. The Banner Virtual Assistant can only be accessed through our secure online and mobile banking services. It can only access information about your account after you have logged in with your username and password (Remember to never share those with anyone). 

The content of your chat is only retained within your chat history and is only shared with our client service representatives when you request their assistance. This allows them to pick up where the Banner Virtual Assistant left off, without you needing to repeat information.

Any chat content retained for analytical and statistical purposes is encrypted and separated from your identity.


What are the benefits of combining the Banner Virtual Assistant with live operators? 

By offering both, we’re able to offer assistance whenever you need it. Live assistance is available from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. PT weekdays and the Banner Virtual Assistant is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays. 

In addition, by letting the Banner Virtual Assistant handle the most frequently asked and simple questions, time is freed up for our employees to more quickly address more complex questions and requests. During business hours, you always have the option of transferring to a live agent.
