Washington State Housing Commission (WSHFC) Homebuyer Education

Earn a certificate*

Our certified Loan Officers lead Washington State Housing Commission-sponsored homebuyer education seminars so you can earn the certificate required to access the state’s affordable housing programs. WSHFC course topics include everything you need to know about becoming a homeowner such as budgeting, your credit score, loan qualifications, low-down payment loans, down payment assistance, insurance and how the loan process works.

We are currently offering WSHFC seminars in the following locations. Registration is required. Please reach out to the event host with questions and to RSVP. We hope to see you there!

*This seminar meets current FHA, FNMA and FHLMC requirements for many affordable housing programs. Participants who complete the seminar will qualify for a certificate from the Washington State Housing Finance Commission (WSHFC), valid for two years. The sponsorship by the Commission of a homebuyer education seminar does not endorse a person, business practice, product or service other than those of the Commission.
