Banner Bank is helping to improve the lives of seniors and people with disabilities through their third annual “Paint the Town” program.

Starting on Friday, October 2nd working through Saturday, October 3rd, bank employees will volunteer their time and talents to give local Yakima resident Justina Ahern's home a face-lift.
Banner worked with Opportunities Industrialization Center (OIC) of Washington, a local non-profit agency to identify homes of those who either cannot afford or are not physically able to complete repairs. Banner employees will paint the exterior of Ahern's home and garage. Standard Paint has generously agreed to donated time and expertise to the project and Valley Septic will provide a portable toilet at a discount.
Last year the bank completed twelve Paint the Town projects from May – September throughout Washington, Oregon and Idaho.
“For years, Banner Bank has helped create affordable housing for many Northwest residents, including seniors and those with special needs,” said Guillermo Sandoval, Vice President Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) Officer. “We’re now taking that community spirit one step further with Paint the Town, providing our employees a means to be involved and give back to the communities where they work and live.”
Banner’s Paint the Town 2009 program includes homes in Beaverton, Oregon; Boise, Idaho; Clarkston, Washington; College Place, Washington; Everett, Washington; Ferndale, Washington; Hermiston, Oregon; Kennewick, Washington; Renton, Washington; Spokane, Washington; Twin Falls, Idaho and Yakima, Washington.
